Notice is hereby given that Cargill Meat Solutions, Inc. (Cargill), 2700 Yetter Court, Camp Hill, PA, (contact: Mr. James (Michael) Fluck at 717-278-5586) intends to submit an application to the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for a National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Permit to discharge stormwater from the Cargill Meat Solutions Facility in Lower Allen Township, Cumberland County. The receiving stream includes Cedar Run, which is classified as a Cold Water Fishery as well as a Migratory Fishery under Chapter 93 of DEP's regulations. Stormwater best management practices (BMP's) including managed release concept stormwater detention ponds, vegetated swales and vegetating with native species will address water quantity, quality and rates on site. This application is made under provisions of the Clean Stream Law, the Act of June 22, 1937, P.L. 1987 as amended.
